A high profile corporate dinner as part of the museum’s ‘Waste Age’ exhibition, combined the install of a 3D printed hanging sculpture.
The Brief
To design and install a sculptural exhibition displays for Waste Age, showcasing how the client’s computer modelling software supports circular design and sustainable practices.
The Challenge
To install a large complex 3d sculpture in the museum's central atrium within a short lead time, whilst keeping the museum open throughout. To produce a VIP client dinner under the sculpture, alongside the launch event of the "Waste Age" exhibition.
The Solution
To collaborate with a structural engineer and the museum team to validate load calculations for the three-tonne structure, integrate prototype elements into the Waste Age exhibition and manage a complex four nights installation outside public opening hours to avoid visitor disruption.
